This week’s Osho Card: Patience
This card shows a pregnant woman, contented with no traces of anxiety, waiting for the process to take place. She is so in tune with the rhythms of the moon that she has become one with it. She is neither sleepy nor indifferent but simply waits for the moment in pure acceptance.
It is said that we have forgotten how to wait. In our society we are so used to getting everything right away and this can be frustrating for those of us who are healing or wanting to lose weight or accomplish a goal. Often we turn to quick fixes or restrict ourselves so tightly on a diet or workout plan that crumbles if we make one mistake with our food or miss one workout.
Try to find patience with where you are at in your journey this week and with it will come acceptance that will allow a natural progression toward your goals without force.

I have been reading The Living Goddess by Linda Johnsen and Envoke the Goddess by Kala Trobe, and it has seriously empowered my frame of mind in an almost trippy kinda way. I only started reading these books about two weeks ago, starting with The Living Goddess, and more recently picking up Envoke the Goddess. I have been reading them when I have a little spare time, am trying to fall asleep, or just need to relax and regroup myself, and let me tell you, they seriously do the trick.
I didn’t really realize how ancient the practice of goddess worship was, especially in the Hindu culture, but I am realizing now why I am so attracted towards it! Apparently the concept of the Goddess or the Eternal Mother is a very integral aspect of Hinduism.
I like learning this, it makes me feel more assured in my draw towards the goddess frame of mind.
Now, the book, Envoke the Goddess, this book is less of a description of the ancient traditions and tales of the goddess, but rather a more magical, self examination which informs you of the different Goddess archetypes, and their symbolism. The emphasis of this book is on breathing techniques, meditative states, and chakra balance as a means of connecting with the particular archetype you wish to envoke within yourself.
For instance, lets say you are trying to be more studious and dedicated to your work, and you want to evoke a more scholarly vibration within yourself which will help you feel inspired and capable of success. Well, you would relax, and get in to the frame of mind of the goddess Sarasvati , for she is the Goddess of education and all arts, and focus your energy on her.
It is kinda of an interesting approach, and I haven’t tried meditating or practicing the evocation in a ritualistic form, but I did do some breathing exercises while relaxing in bed, then read the description of the goddess that I was curious about. That alone was a very helpful gesture, and has given me an inspired outlook towards the subject I was in need of council on.
If any of you happen to stumble upon these books, I highly recommend them! They are so intriguing and mystical…I LOVE THEM! -w00t
